He was predeceased by: his mother Gregoria Gutierrez; his daughter Jessica Gutierrez; and his in-laws, Juan and Trinidad Lopez. He is survived by: his father Antonio Gutierrez; his wife Lupe Gutierrez; and his children, Alicia Gutierrez, Vicky Luera (Paul Luera) and Leon Jr. Gutierrez (Maurisa Gutierrez). He is also survived by his 2 sisters and one brother along with 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
