He was predeceased by : his cowboy Jay Allen Scarborough; his father James Elton Scarborough; and his siblings, Sue and Scott. He is survived by : his grandchildren, Jadis and Corin; his wife Janet Scarborough (Hollis) of Perryton, TX; his children, Andi Linn Scarborough (Chad) and Chad Scarborough (family: Shannon, Jadis, Corin Scarborough); and also Shannon. He is also survived by two sisters, one brother, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
