He was predeceased by: his wife Cathy Patterson; his parents, Lewis Medlin and Rose Maudine Patterson; and his siblings, Lewis Medlin Jr. Patterson (Sonny), John Baily Patterson and Joyce Madeline Patterson.
He is survived by: his sons, Travis Patterson (Lana) of Spearman and Clint Patterson (Anna) of Seattle, Washington; his grandchildren, Lauren Patterson (Jack Karlin) of Spearman, Trace Patterson (Natalie) of Weatherford, Zane Patterson (Ashley) of Spearman, Emma, Claire and Natalie Patterson of Seattle; his great grandchildren, Haddie and True Karlin of Spearman; his sister-in-law Joan Crum of Amarillo; and his nieces and nephews, Tamara Silbert and Reagan Hales.
