It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Hamilton of Spearman, Texas, born in Silverton, Texas, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Winston Hamilton and Lorene Holt Hamilton of Silverton; his wife Wilma; his son Stephen; and his brothers, Freddie Hamilton of Dimmitt and Wayne Hamilton of Tulia.

He is survived by : his children, Van Hamilton (Stephannie Tyler) of Gruver and Becky Stark (Lance) of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Heather Hamilton of Lubbock Texas, Tyler Hamilton (Sarah) of Perryton and Sam Stark (Yesi) of Amarillo; and his great grandchildren, Dylan Hamilton, Braedon Maestas, Baron Maestas, Anson Stark and Freya Hamilton.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, April 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hansford Cemetery.
