He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bates Hickman Sr. and Effie Faye Turpen Hickman; his siblings, Bill and Geraldine Johnston; his wife Alma Louise Farmer Hickman; his daughters, Cherie Hickman, Barbara Nickerson and Deborah Rice (Jerry); and his grandchildren, Kristi Nickerson Greene, Christopher Nickerson and Douglas Hickman.
He is survived by: his daughter Carolyn Dewberry; his sons-in-law, Michael Nickerson (Kathy Sparks) and Robert; and his son Richard Hickman.
