It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Doohan (Spring, Texas), born in Rochester, New York, who passed away on December 18, 2019, at the age of 84. Charles worked for 32 years at Interstate Brands Bakery. For many years he was also a shop steward for the Bakery and Confectionery Union. After the closing of Interstate Brands, Charles went to work for Wegmans Food Market. He worked there from 1991 until his retirement in 2012. In his spare time, Charles enjoyed gardening, car shows, garage sales, auctions and working on his vehicles. He had many interesting collections. One of his greatest memories was of serving as a volunteer for Barnard Fire Department in Greece, NY. He was a firefighter and ambulance driver. He served at Barnard from 1966 until 1976. Charles is survived by his wife Annigje; four children, Larry (Renee) Doohan, Nancy Doohan Eckert, Charlene Hill and Michael (Jennifer) Doohan; ten grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; brothers George, Albert, Bernard and Kenneth; and sisters Hazel and Linda. Charles wished to be cremated.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 24th 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church (2400 West Ridge Road, Rochester, New York).
