Delbert Henry Simms Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Delbert Henry Simms of Spring, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 18, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Prentice Simms and Lillian Simms; his brother Prentice Lee Simms; his grandsons, Eschlaun Delbert Henry Hall and Charmarcus Jabbert LaCarl Chiles; and his son-in-law Timothy Miles.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Simms; his children, LaTosha Miles, Quandra Newsome (Anthony), Qunikwa Simms, Skye Simms, Umiayiah Bobo and Tarrick Hill; and his siblings, Lillian Neely and Byron Simms (Christine). He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Even out of his need, Delbert would sponsor children through child sponsorship programs and was known to regularly donate to multiple ministries because he wanted to help spread the word of God.
