He was predeceased by: his parent W. C. McGrede; his wife Frances Ann McGrede; his brother Roy C. McGrede; his daughter Brenda Morgan; his son-in-law Jerry Morgan; and his grandchildren, Shane, Devin and Tyler Cale.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Sullivan (Robert), Cheryl McGrede (Cynthia), Monty McGrede (Sallie), Angela Cromwell and Tonya Shrum (Dickey); his brother Jimmy McGrede (Diane); his grandchildren, Crystal (Michael), Laura Sullivan, Betty Messer, Brittany Shrum-Fraser (Joshua), Halee Shrum (Keegan), Lexi Shrum and Derek Oestreich; and his pet Australian Shepherd.
