He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank McLaurin, Jr. and Lucille McLaurin; and his brother-in-law Mark Scott. He is survived by: his wife Cherie McLaurin; his son Scott Johnson Jason Johnson; his grandson Lars Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Cindy Scott (Steve), Chris Handley (Mark) and Mike Scott. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
