He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lee and Mayme Morton; his daughter Amber Lee Morton; and his siblings, Fern Mayhew, Starr Hopkins, Myrna O'Boyle, Linda Gaskill, Billy Morton and Jack Morton.

He is survived by: his wife Janie Ellon Morton; his children, Brandy Morton Forland (Knut-Leif Forland) and Chad James Morton; his brother Norman Morton; his grandchildren, Ava Renee Spangler, Tor James Forland and Leif Aksel Forland; and his stepgranddaughter Anna Forland. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
