He was predeceased by: his wife Gail Sophia Jorgenson Bartuska. He is survived by: his children, Leslie Hume (Steve), Jack Bartuska and Thomas Bartuska; his grandchildren, Matthew Hume (Ashley), Brett Hume (Alyssa), Jacob Hume, Kaitlin Bartuska Gibbs (Joseph) and Christopher Bartuska; his great grandchildren, Dorian Hume, Charles Hume, Hadley Hume, Joseph Gibbs Jr. and Matthew Gibbs; and his sisters, Margie Thiel and Jean Tuffield. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
