She was predeceased by: her parents, Almaquio Cardenas and Concepcion Medrano Cardenas; her husband Erasto Garza; her son Jose I. Garza; and her siblings, Ramiro, Juanita, Guadalupe, Raul, Almaquio and Jose Luis Cardenas.
She is survived by: her children, Marisella G of Torres, Roberto Torres, Diana M Gonzalez, Mayda Olleros, Luis E Garza and Graciela L. Hernandez [Marco Hernandez]; and her grandchildren, Jose I. Garza Jr., Adriana of Garza, David Garza, Gabriel Garza, Moises Garza, Sally of Garza, Roberto Torres Jr., Ashanty of Torres, Daniella Nicholson [Andre Nicholson], Raul Gonzalez, Juan Carlos Gonzalez, Rodrigo Garza, Ana Olleros, Luis E. Garza Jr. [Karen Silva], Abraham Garza, Samantha Garza, Felizzia Garza [Taylor Hickson], Lucia Garza, Nicole Benavides [Joseph Benavides], Jose F. Llamas, Pedro Llamas, Rebekah Crouch-Llamas and Marcela Swinney [Lance Swinney]. She is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren and various nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista Chapel of Peace (125 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521). A vigil service was held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM. A Mass was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (1914 Barnard Rd, Brownsville, TX 78520). A burial was held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Buena Vista Burial Park (5 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521).
