We announce the death of Lela Mae Watson of Spring, Texas, who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 94. Lela will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Lela will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Lela’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elwood Craft and Katie Bates. She is survived by: her children, Larry Watson and Cathy Naylor; and her sister Bobbie Nell Gray. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hopewell M. B. Church (2768 SCR 101, Raleigh, MS 39153). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
