He was predeceased by: his parents, Steve K Pace, Sr. and Lillie Mae Pace; his half-brother Nelson Allen; and his sisters, Helen Cook and Winnie Mae Hanes.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Barnett; his sons, Steve Krohne Pace (Linda), Brent Pace (Melanie) and Robert Pace (Jamie); and his grandchildren, Rosanna Roberson (Clint), Steve B. Pace, Kaitlyn Pace (Chris), Travis Pace, Paige Pace, Peyton Pace and Chance Pace.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Klein Funeral Home - Champions (16131 Champion Forest Dr, Spring, TX 77379). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery (12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77077).
