“I served with BJ in Beaufort SC, Marine Corps Air Station in the mid 80's. We played poker, golfed and had a beer or two together. He was a fine Marine, good leader and a great friend. I visited with him last in Arlington TX around "95. He had a great sense of humor. If he was losing at poker he would say "now I won't be able to bring milk home to the kids, they are so hungry their ribs are showing". Well he didn't have kids at home. Condolences to his family. I will miss him.”
