She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Thompson and Elizabeth Thompson (Frank); her husband James "Jim" L. Painter; and her siblings, Wilford, Floyd, Elizabeth, Eileen and Agnes.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Barton, Bob Ballentine (Cindy), Sue Ford and Brenda Leuwerke (Randy); her stepson Mike Painter (Melinda); her brother Vernon Thompson (LaDean); and her pet Sammy. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
