He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Reece Blanton and Thomas E. Blanton; and his brothers, Mike Blanton and Christopher Blanton. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Blanton; his daughters, Christina Greenwood (James "Doot") of Spurger and Theresa Richardson (Melvin) of Spurger; his granddaughter Gracie Greenwood; and his daughters, Chasity Richardson, Della Greenwood, Tori Richardson and Faith Greenwood.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Spurger (12676 FM 92, Spurger, TX 77660). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at the Beech Creek Cemetery (437 Co Rd 4540, Spurger, TX 77660).
