He is survived by: his wife Valsa Jacob; his children, Jackcy (Bobby Syed) and Jackson (Betty Jacob); his grandchildren, Sophie, Sami, Sanna, Ryan, Revin and Rianna; and his siblings, V. Pothen Thankan, Sosamma Abraham, Varghese Koshy, Mariamma Daniel and Thomas Koshy.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St Peters Malankara Catholic Church (3135 5th St, Stafford, TX 77477). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Malankara Catholic Charities Houston, which will provide meals to an orphanage in India in honor of Thampichayan's memory.
