He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Nell Baty (Smith); his children, Valerie Jean Schmid (John David) of Stephenville, TX and Brent Thomas Baty (Rachel A.) of Celina, TX; his grandchildren, Lindsey Marstaller, Paige Folk, Doug Schmid, Brennan Baty and Isabel Baty; his great grandchildren, Corie Marstaller, Evelyn Marstaller, Brooklyn Marstaller, Wendolyn Marstaller, Wesley Folk of Violet Folk, C. R, Julia Schmid, Derek Schmid and Lillian Schmid; and his sister Betty Arrell of Austin, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
