He was predeceased by: his mother Ida Mae McGee Griggs; and his grandmother Ida Mae "Motherdear" Giddings. He is survived by: his wife Angie Brown of Stephenville; his children, Preston Brown (Shayla) of Decatur, Texas and Sydney Brown Kilcrease (Dakota Kilcrease) of Madison, Mississippi; his granddaughters, Sloan and Seeley Anderson of Decatur, Texas; his parents-in-law, George and Christine Poen of Stephenville, Texas; his sister Dr. Jackqueline Cooper (Julius R. Hubbard) of San Antonio, Texas; his siblings-in-law, Dena Davis (Clint) of Comanche, Texas and Jon Poen (Lindi) of Clyde, Texas; and his nephews, Justin Jacobs and Joshua Croker. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and honorary family members.
