It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Dowell of Stephenville, Texas, who passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Walter and Ora Bell Greer Dowell; his sisters, Dorothy and Eddie B; and his daughter Donna Joy Dowell.

He is survived by: his former wives, Joyce Tolar Burnett and Donna Bruns Dowell; his children, Mark Dowell and Wendy (Brent Moser); his grandchildren, Brandon (Cathy McKinney), Justin (Dylan Dowell), Jennifer Fain, Brittney Moser and Lacey Moser; his great grandchildren, Clark Vargas, Lena Vargas and Landry Dowell; and his siblings, Jarrell (Bell Dowell) and Glenda Gillespie. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
