He was predeceased by : his parents, Daniel Cox and Lettie Cox; and his sisters, Vieta Walker, Evelyn Gildner and Delma Mayfield.

He is survived by : his wife Sandra Lee Tomlinson; his son Gregg Cox; his daughter-in-law Amy; his daughter Lori Campbell; and his grandchildren, Keith Cox, Kayla Cox and Katie Campbell. He is also survived by his family and friends.
