He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Watson and Elizabeth Taylor Watson; his wife Verda Mae Ritenour Watson; his siblings, Lloyd, Wilbert, James Watson, Della Kimmel, Gertrude Collins, Hazel Tawney, Iona Lawrence and Leona Watson; and his half-siblings, Millard Baer, Jr. (Spike), Franklin, Raymond Baer and Emm Fike.
He is survived by: his son Robert D. Watson of Sugar Land, TX; his grandchildren, Morgan A. J. Watson Owen (Drew) of Sugar Land, TX, Lauren M. Watson of Colorado, Robert J. and Kandall D. Watson; his great grandchildren, Micah, JoJo and Andrew Owen; and his half-brother Robert Baer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
