It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Mabe of Sugar Land, Texas, born in Dallas, Iowa, who passed away on March 23, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Leslie Hodges and Hazel Hodges (Whitney); her husband Robert "Bob" Lee Mabe; and her stepsons, Tom and Ronald Mabe.

She is survived by : her close friends, Lisa Smith and Elsa Mendez; her stepchildren, Rich Mabe (Julie) and Cynthia Mabe; and her nieces and nephews, Pamela Heward, Joseph Hodges, Dixie Crouch and Laurie Culp.
