He is survived by: his wife Thyra Rice; his children, Paul Hudson of Elkhart, Kansas, Charlotte Farrington of Bryan, Texas and Sandra Lightfoot (Joe) of Amarillo, Texas; his sister Vernell Hale Carden of Shamrock, Texas.; his granddaughters, Micaela Thompson (Doug), Monica Morris and Janie Blalock (Justin); his stepgranddaughter Malissa Rios; his great grandchildren, Aspen Aguilar (Alex), Aniyah Garner, Ty'Rell Brown, Mikah Morris, Mikki Morris, JW Blalock and Jack Blalock; and his great great grandchild Ny'Kaison Filmore.
Viewing was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Garnand Funeral Home (514 Kansas St, Elkhart, KS 67950). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home Chapel (514 Kansas St, Elkhart, KS 67950).
