It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Bennett Matlock (Sunset, Texas), who passed away on February 8, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Elvert Lee Matlock and Myrtle Marie Hadaway; his son Dale Stoner; his former life partners, Betty Hunt-Matlock and Cheryl Johnson; and his brothers, Eugene, Lee, Dan and Gary Matlock.

He is survived by : his daughters, Prudy Bayer (Curt Bayer) of Muenster, Mistey Patterson (Craig Patterson) of Alvord, Cheryl Purser (Tommy Purser) of Krum and Paige Matlock (Steve Oliver) of Saginaw; his daughter-in-law Sue Stoner of Krum; his grandchildren, Cassidy Patterson of San Antonio, Connor Patterson (Caitlynn) of Alvord, Nicole Hill (Michael Hill) of Krum, Logan Matlock of North Carolina, Andrew Timms of Saginaw, Shelia Kennedy (Mark) of Krum, Christie Hendricks (Tad) of Krum, James Stoner of Krum, Thomas Stoner of Krum and Joshua Stoner (Angela) of Krum; and his siblings, Felicia Seefeldt and Johnny Wayne Matlock (Glenda) of Azle. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
