It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucile Grace Burttschell of Sweeny, Texas, who passed away on June 23, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Roland Knebel and Emma Knebel; her sisters, Gladys, Evelyn and Ora Lee; her nieces, Sandra and Sue; and her son-in-law Rick Calhoun.

She is survived by : her husband Frank; her siblings-in-law, Howard Burttschell (Marie) and Gloria Winters; her nieces, Judith Calhoun and Jill Burttschell (Nenette); and her grandchildren, Emily (Quenten), Brad (Summer), Jeff (Christine), Brent (Wendy), Rachel (Kolbe) and Marc (Lisa). She is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lucile's honor to The First Methodist Church of Sweeny, 207 E. First St., Sweeny, Texas 77480.
