With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George Howard Nickerson of Sweetwater, Texas, who passed away on August 13, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Munson and Arzelia "Shorty" Nickerson; his wife Barbara M. Jennings; and his siblings, Leonard, Gerald Nickerson, Yvonne Munson Huddlen, Earline and Pearline Nickerson.
He is survived by: his sons, Royce D. Jennings (Yolanda S. Jennings) and George J. Jennings (Josie S. Jennings) of Sweetwater, TX.; his grandchildren, Nevaeh, Samaria, Lavonna, Eionna, Jazmine and Devon Jennings; his siblings, Richard Huddlen (Becky), Reginald Nickerson, Marilyn Contee Jones (Ira), Ann Gorgia Huddlen and Melonie Nickerson; and his stepchildren, Mathes D. Jennings (Tawanna), Remona J., Mary A. Jennings and Tamesha M. Clayton. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, In-Laws.
