He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Freeman and Thelma Wren Johnson (Rudd); his son-in-law Joe Rivas; and his pets, Otis Lee and Maggie May.
He is survived by: his daughters, Holly of Sweetwater and Alison of Huntsville, Texas; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Noah, Jonah, Dominic and Jolie; his siblings-in-law, Jimmy, Judy Davis of Sweetwater, Janice and Phil Brown; and his cousins, Trace Fomby, Ann Rudd Hayes and Debbie Rudd Grimm.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home (403 Locust St, Sweetwater, TX 79556). A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Palava Cemetery (2000 W Alabama Ave, Sweetwater, TX 79556).
