She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald Chase and JoAnn Hall Chase; her husband Charles "Pete" Grissom; her mother-in-law Opal Hanks Grissom; her grandson Jonathan Trey Grissom; and her brothers-in-law, Sidney Bond and Jimmy Ottinger.
She is survived by: her children, Rhonda Gilbert of Talco, Susan Thompson (Keith) of Talco, Joe Grissom (Michele) of Bogata and Justin Grissom (Stephanie) of Sugarhill; her grandchildren, Leslie Waldrum, Misti Stephenson, Haley Watson, Kelsi Thompson, Dakota Purdon, Nicole Henry, Jerremey Henry, Madison Brenton, Chloe Grissom, Hannah Grissom, Jonathan Grissom, Easton Grissom, Micheal Grissom and Brantlee Grissom; her aunt Diane Chase; her siblings-in-law, Patricia Bond, Darla Ottinger and Dale Grissom; and her close friends, Barbara Brown and Chub Brown. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, February 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bridges Chapel Cemetery.
