Though Cynthia Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Cynthia Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by : her father Hank Iloff; her sister Denise Shue; her mother Tillie Smallwood; her son Aaron Pepper; and her grandson TJ Pepper.

She is survived by : her sons, Steve Pepper (Kathy), Mark Pepper (Nikki) and Wes Shue (Shawn); and her brothers-in-law, Jesse, Bill and Johnny Pepper. She is also survived by great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hawthorn Funeral Home (307 W Wellington St, Carthage, TX 75633). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel (307 W Wellington St, Carthage, TX 75633).
