With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Amelia Castro of Taylor, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Domingo La and Mary Helen Carmona (Rivera); her sibling's children, Peter Carmona and Patricia Ortega; and her siblings-in-law, Socorro De La Rosa and Johnny Juarez.
She is survived by: her children, Rose Mary Orozco and Christopher Castro (Gabriela); her grandchildren, Jackie Orozco (Francis Speasmaker), Lexie Orozco, Alyssa Castro (Emma Spivey), Thomas Castro, Trey Castro and Adrian Gutierrez (Faye); her great grandchildren, Liam, Niko Gutierrez and Amelia'Millie'Jo Speasmaker; and her siblings, Raymond De La Rosa, Carmen Juarez and Susie Gutierrez (Francisco). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
