We bid farewell to Lillian Marie Spurgeon of Taylor, Texas, born in Smithville, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 14, 2025 at the age of 77. Lillian touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril Pesl and Kathryn Pesl; her brothers, William Joseph, Benjamin and Alois Pesl; and her brothers-in-law, Gus Srubar and Ernest Karisch.

She is survived by: her husband Carl Spurgeon of Taylor; her daughter Melanie Catuogno (Philip) of Pflugerville; her grandchildren, Zack, Milo and Xander Catuogno of Pflugerville; her siblings, Danny Pesl (Kathy) of Smithville, Cyril Pesl Jr. (Shirley) of Rosanky, Mary Ann Srubar and Kathy Karisch of Smithville; and her sister-in-law Minnie Pesl of Rockdale. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in her name to St. Mary's Catholic School in Taylor or to the ASPCA.
