He was predeceased by: his parents, Cratis Welch and LaVerne Welch (Whitmire); his brother Stanley Welch; and his brother-in-law Clifton Peters. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Joy Welch (Phillips) of Taylor; his sons, Clint Welch (Sarah) of Taylor and Cody Welch (Melissa) of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Jacob Welch of Galveston, Emily Welch and Emma Welch of Georgetown; his siblings, Janis Dunham of Clarksville, John Welch (Cathy) of Hillsboro, TN, Charla Peters of Belton and David Welch (Kathy) of Taylor; his sister-in-law Sue Phillips of Coupeville, WA; and his uncle Kermit Whitmire of Clyde.
