He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Barlow Cox; his parents, Vern Aaron Cox and Edith Jewel Coffman; and his siblings, Aaron Cox (Dana), Bobby Cox (Cody Cox) and Nell (Edith Tullar).
He is survived by: his children, LoRay, Rhonda Cox of Elgin, Texas, Glenn, Ruth Cox of Leakey, Texas, Annette and Donny Hearn of Crosby, Texas; his brother-in-law Rex (Brenda Barlow); and his grandchildren, Christian LoRay Cox, Cassi Danielle Rogers, Cory Glenn Cox, Casey Ryan Cox, Bradley Allen Hearn, Alyssa, Austin Thomas Hearn, Caroline, Stetson Horne, Shylo, Tara and Donald Brooks. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Groesbeck Funeral Home, Inc. (1215 E Yeagua St, Groesbeck, TX 76642). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
