It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amelia Loa of Temple, Texas, who passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ballesteros and Juanita Portillo; her husband Elijio Loa; and her half-brother Freddy Ballesteros. She is survived by: her children, Isabel Coimbra of Bolivia, Elijio Loa Jr. of Temple, Israel Loa of Mexico, Albert Loa of Temple, Adam Loa of Cedar Park and Abel Loa of Temple; her siblings, Jose Ballesteros of Colorado, Jesse Ballesteros of Lubbock and Evangelina Coronado of Waco; and her half-brother Thomas Ballesteros Jr. of Temple. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
