With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anna Joyce Altizer in Temple, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 22, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Etter Helbert and Edith Fuqua Helbert; her grandparents, Peter Columbus Helbert, Maggie Baron Helbert, John Newton Fuqua and Jimmie Willie Fuqua; her in-laws, R. T. and Margaret Altizer; her brothers, John Newton Helbert and Clyde Edward Helbert; her siblings-in-law, Dr. Steve Barnes, Mona and Chuck Elmore; her daughter-in-law Melissa; and her grandmother Richardson Altizer.
She is survived by: her husband Rusty Altizer; her siblings, Emma Jeanine Helbert Barnes, Joe Wayne Helbert (Jennifer Kilijian) and Jim Lee Helbert (Teresa); her siblings-in-law, Nancy, John Frankland, Ann and John Altizer; her children, Margaret E. Altizer (Molly), Natalie Pauline Altizer Martin (Brad) and Ragan Thomas Altizer (Darci); her grandchildren, Kendall Nan Altizer-Fitko (Adam Fitko), Anna Kirby Altizer (Blake Whitten) and Joe Erdeljac; and her great grandchildren, Judson Oliver Fitko and Eleanor Melissa Fitko.
