He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry W. Hendricks and Myrth Rollins; his wife Julia B. Hendricks; and his siblings, Willie Mae Blackmon, Helen Busby, Bennie Murl Carroll and Franz C. Stewart.
He is survived by: his children, Stefon Ward of Fort Worth, Brian Hendricks of Cedar Park, Texas and Rhonda Ward-Edwards (Anthony) of Temple; his siblings, Annie Lois Jackson, Debra A. Edison, Doris N. Wright, Wanda M. King and Morris "Preston" Stewart; his grandchildren, Durrell Ward, Willie Ward, Dante Ward, Christopher Hendricks, Shontrice Dennis, Chasidy Hardrick, Jazmyne Ward, Brya Hendricks and Ahlea Hendricks; and his great grandchildren, Kamron Clark, Kaden Ross, Jaeden Bryson, Orion Ward, Aaliyah Dennis, Lira Hardrick, Archer Hendricks and Emerie Hendricks.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Branford Dawson Funeral Home Inc. (718 S 7th St, Temple, TX 76504). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Crestview Church of Christ (1401 E Avenue I, Temple, TX 76501).
