She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Edmond and Mittie Estelle Whitney Ashford; her husband Rufus Marion Holder, Jr.; and her sons-in-law, Cecil Clark and Stacy Wayne Hitchman.

She is survived by: her daughters, Janet Clark of Troy, Diane Oliver (Royce) of Troy and Kathy Wells (William) of Morgans Point; and her brothers, Perry Ashford of Dallas and Kelly Ashford (Linda) of Georgia. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Highland Cemetery.
