He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Johnson and Alice Crittenden Johnson; his wife Rosie Mae Williams Johnson; his stepson Eddie Clark; his siblings, Arthelma Johnson Nelson, Oletha Johnson Staples and James D. Johnson; and his cousin James Calvin Whitmore.
He is survived by: his daughters, Juanita Owens (Lester) of Temple, Ann Booze of Cameron and Bernice Walker of Copperas Cove; his grandsons, Billy Blackmon (Suzzette) of Temple, Quinnton Blackmon of Temple and Raymon Earnell Blackmon (Toni) of Hutto; his sisters, Berthelma Johnson of Texarkana, Birdia Mae Johnson Akins of Tyler and Bobbie Johnson Player of Texarkana, Texas; his nephew Steve A. Johnson of Denton; and his nieces, LaJuana E. Body Cooper of Texarkana and Yvonka E. Akins Lewis of Tyler. He is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces.
