He was predeceased by: his son Joel Timothy; his parents, Ruth Thuemling and Fred Thuemling; and his brother Tom Thuemling. He is survived by: his wife Christine; his daughter Camille Crowder (James); his grandsons, Liam and Devin; and his brothers, Jon Lytle and George Thuemling.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Millilani Woods (1100 Old Nolanville Rd, Nolanville, TX 76559).
