He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ernest and Winifred Shellhorn Dempsey. He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Birdsall (Gary), Cynthia Foster (Donald) and Julie Rivera (James). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
