He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin and Fredda Nell Shipp; and his brother Ronnie Shipp. He is survived by: his children, Devera Leigh Shipp and Larry Dean Shipp, Jr.; his wife Sandy; his siblings, Nelda Calleri and Ben Shipp (Donna); his brothers-in-law, Wayne Morrison (Cheryl) and Charlie Morrison (Trisha); and his siblings' children, Eadie Skelton, Kelly Pierce, Lisa Whitaker, Kerry Rickard, Devrry Mitchell, Kirk Bingham, Kyle Shipp, Nathan Shipp, Kenny Ray Morrison and Michael Morrison.

The family respectfully requests that floral arrangements to be sent to Scanio-Harper and any monetary donations be made to either Lakeview Baptist Church, University of Mary Hardin-Baylor athletics, or Our Hospice House.
