In bidding Roger Douglas adieu, let us not mourn the silence that now fills the spaces Roger Douglas once occupied, but rather celebrate the vibrant colors he painted upon the canvas of our lives. For while he may have departed from this earthly realm, his spirit remains a beacon of light, guiding us through the darkest of nights.

He was predeceased by : his parents, James Evans Sr. and Lillie Ola Robinson. He is survived by : his wife Doris Minor Evans of Temple, Texas; his children, Randolph Minor of Temple, Texas, Anastasia W. Anderson (Tyrone) of Temple, Texas and Cassandra Anderson of Temple, Texas; his brother Jackie Crathers of Dallas, Texas; and his friends, Paul Holmes and LeeRoy Thompson. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Branford Dawson Funeral Home (718 S 7th St, Temple, TX 76503). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery (11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX 76542).
