Stephen Kovacs Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 2, 2026, at the age of 92, Stephen Kovacs of Temple, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Stephen departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Stephen may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Stephen leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kovacs and Eszter Kovacs; his siblings, Joseph Kovacs, Regina Totin, Elisabeth Mako and Ethel Nettles; his niece Susan Quintero; and his nephew Steven Mako.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Kovacs; his children, Denise Martinello (Paul) and Stephen J. Kovacs (Lynette McCoy); and his grandson Ian Martinello. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harper-Talasek (500 W Barton Ave, Temple, TX 76501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
