With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wayne Whitt Roark of Temple, Texas, born in Corpus Christi, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 16, 2026 at the age of 58. He was predeceased by: his father John O. Roark; his grandparents, Berniece, Wayne Harris, Gladys Roark Trotter, Walter Roark and Raymond Trotter; and his aunt Wanda Allen.
He is survived by: his mother Kathleen Roark; his brother Allen; his sister-in-law Sarah Roark; his nieces and nephews, Hannah, John and Jameson; his sister Sharon; his brother-in-law Lee Walters; his nieces and nephews, Christian, Jordan Thomas and Max Walters; his great-nephew Shepherd Joshua Thomas; his aunt Sharon Howell; his cousins, Jeff and Betsy Howell; his children, Jessica and Bruce Walker; his aunt Linda Jennings; and his cousins, Angie and Dale Cox. He is also survived by children and grandchildren and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Methodist Church of Temple, Texas or to Baylor Scott & White Research Institute for the clinical trial on improving treatment for people with advanced chronic kidney disease.
