We bid farewell to Alma Racine Smith of Texarkana, Texas, born in Fouke, Arkansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on May 25, 2026 at the age of 89. Alma touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband James Benton Smith; her son James Dwayne Smith; and her siblings, J. C. Edwards, Orace Edwards, Bill Edwards, Nona Seward and Margaret Duke.
She is survived by: her daughters, LaDonna Goodwin (Jerry) of Campbell, Kathy Jeter (Robert) of Texarkana and Carolyn Johnson of Nash, Texas; her siblings, Sue Tyler of Texarkana, Arkansas, Ken Edwards (Margie) of Buda and Cecil Edwards (Kay) of Kaufman, Texas; and her grandchildren, Misty Gallo (Justin), Jared Goodwin (Mallory), Stephanie Ramirez (Joaquin), Jonathan Jones, Christopher Ray (Mike), Adrian Riera (Sal) and Garrett Johnson. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Association, Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of choice.
