We are sad to announce that, on May 2, 2022, at the age of 82, Billy Joe Smith of Texarkana, Texas, born in Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Dennis Floyd Smith; his parents, Lawrence Smith and Mae Smith; his siblings, Roy Smith, Bobby Smith, Esteleen Tadlock and Betty Tadlock; his parents-in-law, Alec and Goldie Rasco; his son-in-law Bob Ireland; and his brother-in-law Edward Henry Brockenbrough III.

He is survived by: his wife Suzon Smith of Texarkana; his children, Donna (Billy Crouse), Rose Ireland of Hot Springs and William Glen Breshears of Hot Springs; his siblings, David Smith of Hot Springs and Laura Foster of Hot Springs; his grandchildren, Daniel Simpson, Jessy (Alicia SImpson), Chad Simpson, B. J. Crouse and Katina; and his sister-in-law Sharon Brockenbrough. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Texarkana Baptist Children's Home.
