He was predeceased by: his wife Chestene Shuffield; and his brother Charles Lea Barfield. He is survived by: his children, Reese Shuffield of Texarkana, Mark Shuffield (Cindy) of Little Rock, Clay Shuffield of Little Rock and Wendy Norman (Kevin) of Texarkana; his grandchildren, Kristen Leach (Seth), Devon Cummings, Jacob Shuffield (Taylor), Lindsey Cummings, Katie McCulloch (Greg), Khloe See (Parker), Lily Claire, Olive Shuffield, Endsley Norman and Carter Shuffield; and his sister-in-law Penny Arnold of Texarkana. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 1 niece, 1 nephew, 3 great nieces and nephews, and a slew of cousins.
