He was predeceased by: his parents, Truitt Melton and Rosa Lee Melton; his daughter Becky Melton; and his siblings, Ricky Melton, Pat Simpson and Shirley Parker.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Melton (Melton) of Texarkana; his daughter Melody Melton of Texarkana, Arkansas; his granddaughter Brooke Melton; his great grandchild Xander; his sister Barbara Brooks (Billy) of Powderly, Texas; and his close friend Kody Scott. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
